The Clifton (Bristol) Gateway Club, located at Alma Church (BS8 2ES), is a volunter-run social club providing weekly activities, discos, and social opportunities for people with learning disabilities. It is a registered charity affiliated with Mencap, focused on building friendships and independence.
The club meets every Tuesday at 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm to enjoy a variety of events including music and dance nights, quiz nights and talent shows (e.g., "Gateway's Got Talent"), bowling, pantomimes and themed parties.
Clare is retiring from the administration of the club and to honour the outstanding contribution she has made over many years we have awarded her the ComVoc (Community and Vocational) certificate to show that Rotary recognises her most valuable service to the community.
